How to make your meds work faster

We all take medication as some point in our lives…whether it’s for a headache, to lower our blood pressure or other reasons.

Did you know there’s an easy way to make your meds kick in quicker?

A new Johns Hopkins study discovered that by laying on your right side, you can get your pills to activate faster?

Why?

In general, pills start to dissolve and absorb through the lining of your stomach but it mostly happens through the lining of your intestines…and they end up closest to your intestines when you’re on your right side.

Taking them while standing or sitting up straight is also okay, lying on your back isn’t quite as good and lying on your left side is by far the worst.

How bad?

Your medication may only take 10 minutes to start working if you’re on your right side…but if you’re standing, that same pill will take around 23 minutes to kick in.

If you’re on your left side, it can be up to 1 hour and 40 minutes!
