It’s “National Cheeseburger Day”! 🍔

Happy “National Cheeseburger Day“!

It was on this day back in 1924 when Lionel Sternberger (yes, that’s his name!) was working at his dad’s hamburger stand in Pasdena California when he burned one side of a burger and covered up his mistake with cheese.

Voila! An American Classic was born!

We also prefer American cheese on our burgers…followed by cheddar and Swiss…and it HAS to go on top of the burger.  When Google introduced a cheeseburger emoji that featured cheese under the patty in 2017, the backlash was so bad Google changed it a month later!

Will you be celebrating? 🍔
