Next time, try one of these phrases that parents use in place of swear words, according to the Mirror:

• “What the frog?”
• “Sugar” instead of the S-word
• “Oh ,muck!”
• “Shiitake mushrooms!”
• “Oh, cheeses!” (instead of “Oh, Jesus!”)
• “Shut the front door!”
• “Fire truck!”
• “Bull spit!”
• “Oh, ship!”

Others on the list were more “old-school” like “fudge,” “nuts,” “shoot,” “for freaks sake” and “what the heck.”
