Are you good at flirting?
A Huff Post writer asked people of all ages for their best advice on flirting and boiled their comments down to one line for each generation.
Boomers: “Be yourself and be respectful.” Or as one guy put it, “They will eventually get to meet [the real] you. Why not now?”
Gen X: “Be funny, interesting, AND interested.” In other words, don’t be too stiff, don’t be boring, and also LISTEN.
Millennials: “Be friendly and witty.” So, similar advice. Being funny or quick-witted helps and don’t be a jerk.
Gen Z: “Be complimentary, cheeky, and authentic.” So again, be respectful, don’t take things too seriously, and be yourself.
The writer who talked to them saw some other similarities across all generations too…we all want to be seen, respected and listened to…we don’t want our boundaries crossed and want to laugh and have fun.
