The most stressful time of the day

When’s the most stressful time of the day?

Study Finds says it’s in the morning…around 815am to be exact…and it doesn’t matter if you’re an early bird or a night owl!

That’s usually when you’re getting ready in the morning, helping others get ready, preparing and eating breakfast, commuting, helping others start their day and/or before your coffee’s started working!

Mornings are also more likely to bring unexpected challenges.

The average person estimates that they lose over 20 minutes on average to morning chaos that’s mostly out of their control.

Here are some ways to make your mornings go smoother:

Prep the night before  Lay out clothes, pack school bags, prepare lunches and set up a breakfast plan the night before.  You may even consider showering in the evening.

Establish and stick to a routine  The more you’re able to turn your mornings into a repeatable mental checklist, the easier it’ll be to keep things moving and avoid forgetting things (or thinking you forgot something).

Get up first  If possible, wake up at least 30 minutes before the kids so you’ll have time to get yourself ready before the chaos begins.

Delegate  Assign age-appropriate tasks to your children which teaches responsibility and also lightens your load.

Turn the tech off  It’s better to keep mornings free from the distractions of TV and tablets to keep everyone focused on starting the day.
