ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A recently renovated facility at Cornell is reducing its energy costs.

The Biotechnology Building completed rooftop work in January to recover heat. The Cornell Chronicle reports that effort – combined with other renovations over the years – saves about $670,000 in annual energy costs compared to 2004.

The recent rooftop construction also cuts carbon dioxide emissions.
