CORNELL SENIOR FOUND IN GORGE

Foul play’s not suspected in the death of a young man whose body was found early Friday afternoon in the Fall Creek Gorge. The victim’s identified as Avram Pinals, a senior at Cornell who was to graduate over the weekend, according to the Cornell Sun. Ithaca police, Cornell lawmen and first responders from the Ithaca Fire Department were called to the scene in the gorge under the bridge along the 800 block of Stewart Avenue around 1:30. The victim’s identified as Avram Pinals. His body was found adjacent to the water. The cause of death has yet to be determined. The investigation’s ongoing. Pinals the third Cornell student to die in the gorge in just over a year’s time.
