Cortland’s current financial picture is ‘bleak,’ mayor says

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — The mayor of Cortland says the Crown City’s current financial state is not strong. 

Scott Steve tells WHCU they’re getting dinged from the past. 

Although the city’s finance department is now fully staffed, the mayor says it’s going to be a tough time. 

Cortland’s proposed budget for 2024 will be reviewed by the Common Council on October 17.
