Four charged for allegedly stealing at Shops at Ithaca Mall

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Four Syracuse women have been charged after allegedly stealing from a store in the Shops at Ithaca Mall.

Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Bath and Body Works around 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, for a theft complaint. Authorities say more than $1,000 of merchandise was taken. The suspects were stopped by deputies as they attempted to leave the mall in a vehicle. Deputies located stolen merchandise after a vehicle search.

Antoniay Montgomery, Dazanae Lawson, Daveonna Lawson, and Jamya Garceau are each charged with felony grand larceny and misdemeanor conspiracy. Dazanae Lawson was also issued traffic citations for improper plates, unregistered motor vehicle, and operating without insurance. Jamya Garceau was sent to centralized arraignment. All four will appear in Lansing Town Court at a later date.
