ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — An investigation into an Ithaca apartment building fire is over. 

Assistant Fire Chief Jim Wheal tells WHCU the fire was sparked by a bathroom ventilation fan with a large buildup of dust and lint inside.

Wheal says the fire on Lake Street, which injured one person, was unintentional.
