ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — There’s a new ordinance affecting Ithaca parking.

Common Council approved a change to remove off-street parking requirements for a few zoning districts near downtown.

Deputy Director of Planning and Development Megan Wilson says the public’s response has been positive.

“I have not gotten any negative feedback from property owners or residents in surrounding neighborhoods,” she says.

The ordinance benefits businesses that are unable to provide ample spots on-site.
