Mayor: Ithaca in ‘unprecedented time’ for filling senior roles

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Several top, high-profile jobs are opening soon in Ithaca. 

Mayor Laura Lewis calls it an ‘unprecedented time’ in the city’s history.  

The city is also still searching for a new, permanent chief of police. 

Lewis is not part of the city’s police chief search committee. Ted Schwartz was named acting chief in April.
