Over 50 years, Ithaca’s annual snow total sees drop

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca’s average snowfall has decreased over the last 50 years.

Doctor Ingrid Zabel works at the Cayuga Nature Center. She went through half a century of snow data.

The shrinking totals is the result of man-made climate change.

Snow totals for the past decade don’t yet include 2023.
