Police: 15-year-old shot BB gun at Syracuse school bus

Concerns over a BB gun led to a lockdown at Ithaca High School Friday, but up in Syracuse, an even scarier incident let to the arrest of a teen.

Police in Syracuse say a 15-year-old boy is under arrest after he shot a BB gun at a school bus full of students.

Police tell The Post-Standard that the teen pointed a black BB gun at the school bus at around 3:50 p.m. Friday.

A window on the bus was broken but there were no injuries.

Police say the boy fled and tried to throw the gun away but was soon caught by officers.

He was arrested on charges of second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment.

His name was not released because of his age.
