Sheriff Osborne shares concerns about IPD troubles

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County’s sheriff is concerned about the Ithaca Police Department’s current shape and public safety. 

Derek Osborne tells WHCU the lack of a police chief in Ithaca is troubling. 

Osborne says the turmoil at IPD has consequences. 

John Joly, who had served as acting police chief for two years, is on an indefinite leave of absence.
