ENDICOTT, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County Legislator Mike Sigler is officially in the race for state Senate.

Sigler, who’s a Republican, says he’s running in the 52nd state Senate district to bring “common sense and middle ground” to Albany. The seat is currently held by Senator Lea Webb, who narrowly won in 2022 and formally announced her re-election bid this past weekend.

Sigler has held a seat on the Tompkins County Legislature nearly 15 years. He filed paperwork to run last summer.
