ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Tompkins County has announced its new Assistant District Attorney.
The nationwide search has been underway to fill a vacancy open since January 1st of 2020. Ariana Marmora, a graduate of the City University of New York School of Law has worked for the last six years representing indigent tenants in NYC’s Housing Unit of Mobilization for Justice.
Mamora will be assigned to Ithaca City Court and will be the DA’s representative on the LEAD program.
Tompkins County DA Matt Van Houten says he’s pleased to add Mamora to the team of attorneys and believes her background makes her uniquely qualified to advocate for fair and just outcomes in local criminal courts.
