Tompkins County IDA gives tax break to Ithaca apartment project

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A proposed apartment project in Ithaca will receive tax breaks. 

The Ithaca Voice reports the Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency has given Visum Development slightly over two million dollars to save on project costs over a 30-year period. The building known as Stately Apartments would be built on West State Street.

Construction is expected to begin in October.
