Tompkins County Legislature approves new county historian

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County has a new historian. 

Laura Johnson-Kelly was appointed by County Administrator Lisa Holmes, who shared her biography Tuesday night with legislators. 

Johnson-Kelly’s appointment was overwhelmingly approved by the Legislature. She replaces the longtime county historian Carol Kaman, who recently retired.
