Trader Joe’s organic basil recalled

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) -Trader Joe’s has recalled batches of its Infinite Herbs organic basil.

According to the CDC, there have been a dozen salmonella infections linked to the product. One person has been hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported. The affected products were sold in New York, but none of the reported illnesses have occurred in the state. The basil was sold in 2.5-ounce packages between February 1 and April 6.
