CORTLANDVILLE — Police are releasing details of a meth bust earlier this month in Cortlandville, which led to charges for two people.

State Police say they stopped an SUV on Fisher Avenue in Cortlandville last Wednesday, and found numerous items used to make meth. Those included ingredients commonly used to make the drug, such as instant cold packs and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride caplets.
Police also found a glass container with about one gram of meth inside.
Richard Stevens, 18, of Cortland was charged with unlawfully manufacturing meth, which is a felony. Natalie Castor, 24, of Homer, who was also in the SUV, was charged with a lesser misdemeanor.
Stevens was taken to the Cortland County Jail. Castor was released, and is due back in court January 25.
