Traffic stop leads to multiple felony charges in Cortlandville

CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) – A homeless man in Cortlandville in facing multiple felonies.

Authorities conducted a traffic stop at approximately 7:14 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, on East River Road for a suspended driver’s license and other traffic infractions. 51-year-old Terry Maricle was allegedly in possession of a digital scale, packaging material, pills, meth, and other amphetamines. Authorities say Maricle also had a phony inspection sticker.

Maricle is charged with 3 counts of felony drug possession, a felony count of criminally using drug paraphernalia, a felony count of criminal possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and three vehicle infractions.

Maricle will appear in Town of Cortlandville Court at a later date.
