Barton lawmakers to discuss 2026 budget

BARTON, NY (607NewsNow) — The Barton Town Board will focus on finances tonight.

Lawmakers will hold a public hearing on the town’s 2026 budget. It begins at 6 p.m. at Barton Town Hall. A public hearing on overring the tax levy limit will begin shortly after at 6:15 p.m.

Elsewhere in Tioga County, Richford has approved a temporary ban on the development and construction of solar energy systems.
