VESTAL, NY (607NewsNow) — Binghamton University is introducing its first-ever coach of women’s flag football.
The school is hiring Jeff Melesky as head coach. He’s coached flag football at Webber International University in Florida for the past six years.
“I’m excited for this opportunity,” Melesky said. “I’m ready to get to work and bring some talented student-athletes to Binghamton.”
Leigh Ann Savidge-Morris, Binghamton’s deputy director of athletics, said Melesky’s passion for developing student-athletes makes him an “outstanding” addition.
The Bearcats will begin competition in spring 2028. The team will compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
