ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Friends of the Ithaca Youth Bureau (FIYB) will host USA 2026 Olympic Gold Medalist Rory Guilday on Saturday, October 17th at 11:00 am at the Ithaca High School Wellness Center Gym. The event will include a free meet and greet with Guilday.

Guilday is a 2025 graduate of Cornell University and was captain of the women’s ice hockey team. This fall, she will be one of the inaugural players for the expansion PWHL team in San Jose, CA.

At the event on October 17th, Guilday will discuss her experience with playing at the highest levels of women’s ice hockey, as well as her time playing in Ithaca. The celebration will start with remarks welcoming Guilday at 11:15 a.m.

Opportunities for pictures with Guilday and her gold medal as well as autographs will be available at the event. She also plans to attend both Cornell women’s hockey games at Lynah Rink, taking place on Friday, October 16th at 6:00 pm and Saturday, October 17th at 3:00 pm against the University of Vermont, with an autograph session taking place after Saturday’s game.
