Cornell women’s soccer opens season with win

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cornell women’s soccer season is officially underway.

On Thursday, the Big Red beat St. Bonaventure 3-2. Three different players scored for Cornell.

The Big Red held a three-goal lead early in the second half. St. Bonaventure made the game competitive with two late goals.

Cornell will try for another win this weekend. The team entertains Boston College at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Nashville International Airport would be renamed for Dolly Parton under a proposal announced Friday by Tennessee's governor.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Sophomore Raya Leikin scored two goals in the victory.

On August 31, the Cortland County YMCA's Fitness Center will close for renovations.
