Cortland faces $5 million budget shortfall in 2025, mayor says

CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — Budget season is now underway Cortland. 

Mayor Scott Steve says they’re looking at a big increase for a key benefit. 

There’s also a big budget gap in 2025. 

Elizabeth Greenwood was hired as Cortland’s finance director over the summer. The city’s fiscal year begins Jan. 1, 2025.
