Cortland launches police chief search

CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — Cortland is now searching for a new police chief. 

Mayor Scott Steve says the city is looking for candidates both inside and outside the Cortland Police Department. 

Paul Sandy recently announced he’s retiring at the end of this month. Steve says he’ll be missed. 

Sandy first joined Cortland’s police force in 1985.
