ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A children’s toy is being recalled for an ingestion risk.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, magnets inside some CreateOn Crayola pip-Cubes Magnetic Building Cubes can become loose and pose a serious health hazard if swallowed.

When high-powered magnets are ingested, they can attract to each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system, which can cause perforations, blockage, blood poisoning, and death.

The affected products were sold in Bold Colors and Glitter in sets of 24 or 27 cubes. The model/UPC numbers of the recalled cubes are located on the bottom of the packaging.

They were sold on Amazon and in Michael’s Arts and Crafts Store between May 2025 and July 2025. Customers should take the cubes away from children immediately and contact CreateOn at (800) 333-0549 for a replacement.
