ENFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) – A traffic stop leads to charges in Tompkins County.

On March 9, deputies on patrol in Enfield observed a pickup truck at the Dandy Mini-Mart with a passenger suspected of having an active New York State parole warrant.

Shortly afterward, deputies pulled the truck over near Mecklenburg Road. The passenger was identified as 36-year-old James Kastenhuber, of Enfield, and his warrant was confirmed. Additionally, Kastenhuber allegedly had methamphetamine on him at the time of arrest.

Kastenhuber is charged with misdemeanor drug possession and turned over to Tompkins County Jail on the parole warrant.
