ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Discover Cayuga Lake has announced the arrival of their new boat and the ‘Name the New Boat for Everyone’ Contest & Fundraiser.

The MV Teal is being retired after 9 years of providing access to Cayuga Lake for local residents and visitors. DCL’s Floating Classroom Program will continue on the new boat as well as community and public cruises, and community and private charters.

Contest instructions are as follows:

● Each (minimum) $500 donation submitted entitles the originator to nominate one name. Individuals or groups may make more than one donation and name submission..

● Names submitted should be appropriate for all ages and should not reference trademarked or otherwise protected brands.

● Nominations must be submitted by 5pm, Wednesday, April 15th.
