Fireworks, festivals, parades, and more celebrations start in the Finger Lakes area for the 4th of July

FINGER LAKES, NY (607NewsNow) — Celebrations are starting for the 4th of July in the Finger Lakes, including events in Ithaca, Cortland, Groton, Homer, Freeville, and more. Here’s a list of happenings to mark on your calendar:

Here’s a list of parades, festivals and fireworks across the Finger Lakes:

July 2nd

Hammondsport‘s carnival runs from July 2nd to the 4th, with fireworks on July 4th at 9:30 p.m.

Victor Municipal Park has live music, local food and craft beverages, a maker’s market, and family activities, culminating in a fireworks display at dusk.

July 3rd

Conesus Lake will hold their Annual Ring of Fire Celebration. Every 3rd of July, residents light provided flares at exactly 10:00 p.m. along the entire shoreline of the Lake, creating a Ring of Fire. Fireworks will follow after the Ring of Fire display.

Farmington‘s Town Park display has food, live music at 6:00 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.

Groton has food trucks and music at the Groton Elementary School field beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by fireworks at dusk.

Homer‘s 31st annual reading of the Declaration of Independence starts at 10:00 a.m. on the Village Green.

Honeoye Lake‘s Ring of Fire fireworks display starts at dusk.

Seneca Falls‘ Canal Fest runs through July 5th with a parade on Sunday the 5th at 5:00 p.m.

Taughannock Falls’ Independence Day Party is at the Inn at Taughannock with a BBQ buffet starting at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

Virgil’s celebration is at Greek Peak with live music from Virgil Cain, BBQ and fireworks at Hope Lake Park at dusk.

July 4th

Branchport‘s parade starts at 2:00 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Canandaigua‘s parade starts at 10:00 a.m. from City Hall down Main Street toward the lake. Their Outhouse Park Celebration & Fireworks with food trucks, local history, and family activities such as pie-eating contests, tug-of-war, and fireworks starts at dusk.

Cortland County’s Independence Day Spectacular is at Dwyer Memorial Park on Little York Lake. An all-day event with live music, food, family friendly activities, there will be fireworks over the lake at dusk.

Freeville‘s “250 Years of Freedom” begins at 11:00 a.m. with music and food.

Geneva‘s Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary celebration culminates with fireworks at dusk setting off from Seneca Lake State Park.

Hammondsport‘s carnival wraps up with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Keuka Lake’s Fly‑In/Drive In Breakfast at Penn Yan Airport runs from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with music, airplane rides, a bounce house, and more.

Watkins Glen‘s celebration is at Clute Park with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
