ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A free legal clinic is being held in Ithaca.

On March 31, the 6th Judicial District Access to Justice Committee is partnering with Legal Assistance of Western New York (LawNY) to offer free advice on consumer law.

Attendees can meet one-on-one with a volunteer attorney or staff from LawNY to discuss issues such as debt collection, credit problems, scams, and other financial legal concerns. Depending on needs and eligibility, participants may also be referred for additional legal assistance or services.

It takes place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Tompkins County Public Library. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended by calling 844-552-9695.
