Freeville man pleads not guilty in Homer murder

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — A Freeville man accused of murder is back in court. 

The Cortland Voice reports Aaron Keem pleaded not guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder. Prosecutors say the 20-year-old shot and killed 53-year-old Anthony Beechum last month in Homer.

Keem will return to court in December. Bail was set Tuesday at $500,000 cash, with the prosecutors arguing Keem is a flight risk.
