ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Police Department says they’ve recovered stolen items.

Around 7:15 a.m. on Christmas Eve, IPD used a search warrant at an apartment building in the 100 block of E. Green St. as part of several active theft investigations.

Objects previously reported as stolen were recovered, police said. According to an IPD news release, no arrests were made on Wednesday, but criminal charges are expected.

“The Ithaca Police Department would like to remind the citizens of our community to
report suspected package thefts to Law Enforcement so that they can be properly
documented and investigated, and not to leave any packages on your porch overnight or
otherwise unsecured for extended periods of time.”

IPD is asking anyone with information to come forward by calling their tip line at 607-330-0000.
