IPD seek hit & run suspect after Friday night collision

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Police Department is looking for information about an alleged hit and run Friday night, which left a pedestrian seriously injured.

Police say the unnamed victim was struck around 10:50 p.m. Friday near W. Buffalo St. and Taughannock Blvd and suffered life threatening injuries. They were airlifted to a local trauma center for continued treatment.

According to IPD, the driver fled the scene after the collision. A description of the vehicle was not included in a news release from Ithaca Police, who are withholding the victim’s name “due to the injuries sustained,” police said.
