ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — More housing is coming to Ithaca.

On Aug. 26, the city’s Planning & Development Board granted final approval for an apartment building on Oak Avenue. The structure will have five floors including a basement. In total, there’ll be 46 units.

Board Chair Emily Petrina spoke highly of the site plan, which received unanimous approval.

“This is a really wonderful building,” she said. “It’s going in a great spot.”

The building will be a short walk away from the Cascadilla Gorge Trail in Collegetown.
