ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca man is accused of robbing a bank.

On August 3, members of the Ithaca Police Department (IPD) responded to an alarm at the Beginnings Credit Union branch on North Meadow Street around 9:10 a.m.

Before their arrival, officers determined that a robbery had occurred, and a suspect description was broadcast over the radio. After canvassing the surrounding area and interviewing potential witnesses, officers learned the suspect had been given a ride from the scene by someone not aware that the alleged crime had just been committed.

The vehicle was located a short time later in the 200 block of East Green Street, with a suspect matching the witness description still inside.  IPD conducted a traffic stop, and 56-year-old Terrance Julian was taken into custody without incident.

Julian is charged with felony robbery.

Anyone with information relevant to the investigation is asked to contact the Ithaca Police Department.
