ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An investigation is underway after a death in the City of Ithaca.
On July 7, Ithaca Police officers were called to the 100 block of East Seneca Street just after 1 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive man on a charter bus.
Paramedics began lifesaving treatment on the man, later identified as 52-year-old Anthony Ziegler, of Ithaca. Ziegler was transported to Cayuga Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Ziegler had traveled by bus from New York City to Ithaca, with one stop in Binghamton.
According to the Ithaca Police Department, there is no danger to the public, and the cause of death remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact IPDt.
