NEW YORK (607NewsNow) — A slugger for the Yankees is keeping the faith.

After New York dropped its seventh straight game on Wednesday, Jazz Chisholm Jr. shared some positive words.

“We still believe in ourselves, and we believe in our teammates,” he said during a postgame press conference. “At the end of the day, we just got to be better and focus more.”

Chisholm acknowledged the team is dealing with some “bumps in the road.” Star players like Giancarlo Stanton, Max Fried, and Aaron Judge have been recovering from injuries in recent weeks.

The Yankees currently trail the Rays by 3.5 games in the American League East. New York will look to string together some wins before the All-Star break begins later this month.
