ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A state study says homelessness is falling. 

New data released by New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli shows a decline in Tompkins County’s homelessness rate by over 13 percent in the past year. Legislative Chair Shawna Black has her doubts about DiNapoli’s data.

Black added that her observations paints a different picture.

DiNapoli released his statewide report in July.
