McGraw man charged with rape, sexual abuse

MCGRAW, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cortland County man has received criminal charges after an investigation.

On March 27, deputies arrested Randy Mercier after receiving allegations of a sex crime just days earlier. The 44-year-old McGraw man is accused of subjecting a victim to inappropriate sexual contact in Cortlandville.

Mercier is charged with felony rape, felony sexual abuse, and two counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. He’s being held in Cortland County Jail without bail.

Mercier will appear in Town of Cortlandville Court on April 14, 2025.
