MIAMI (607NewsNow) — A player for the Mets is looking back on the World Baseball Classic.

Pitcher Nolan McLean said representing USA was a patriotic experience.

“It’s very rare you get that feeling and that pride,” he said. “Being able to do what you love for your country is just special.”

McLean was on the mound for the championship game against Venezuela. USA lost the matchup 3-2.

In 2025, McLean played several games for the Syracuse Mets and Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
