CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — The New York State Grange is pleased to announce its inaugural Health and Wellness Fair, set to take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the NYS Grange headquarters, located at 100 Grange Place, Cortland, NY 13045.

This free event aims to provide valuable health and wellness information to community members and their families. The fair will spotlight resources and programs that attendees may not be aware of, featuring a variety of participating agencies and organizations specializing in physical and mental health, elder care, family health, safety, nutrition, children’s programs, and more.

Sandra M. Green, President of the NYS Grange, shared her enthusiasm for the event: “We are excited to bring new and current health resources to our communities. Health and living well are topics with ever evolving new knowledge, including drug addiction prevention and mental health for all ages, and more. Families and communities are invited to attend, learn, have fun, and take home usable information. There are crafts for the kids and, for families, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department will be making children’s ID cards. The ID cards are a must for families and help protect children. We hope all area residents will stop in and leave with valuable information.”

Organizations interested in participating in the Health and Wellness Fair are encouraged to contact Barb at (315) 729-1787 or Emilie at (315) 521-5853.

Established in 1873, the NYS Grange is a non-profit organization with over 100 local Granges throughout New York State. As advocates for responsible government at all levels, the Grange emphasizes strong family ties as a foundation for a healthy society. Open to anyone interested in community betterment, the Grange engages in family activities and practices democracy in action by creating legislative priorities and resolutions for local, state, and federal laws.
