CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) — A capital project vote at OCM BOCES has passed.

Superintendent Dr. Matthew Cook tells WHCU voters in Cortland County approved the $30.5 million proposal on Wednesday by a vote of 1,235-to-240, or about 84%. The project focuses on major upgrades to two campus facilities, including the McEvoy building in Cortlandville.

“This outcome reflects not only the importance of the project but also the strength of the partnerships we are fortunate enough to have with so many in the community,” Cook said.

About 65%of the funding is covered by New York state.
