One dead, one injured in fatal Elmira crash

ELMIRA, NY (607NewsNow) – One person is dead after a crash in Elmira.

On June 20, Elmira Police were called to a collision between a motorcycle and a car on the Clemens Center Parkway.

Authorities say it happened at the Division Street intersection around 2 p.m.

According to WENY-TV, the motorcycle operator, identified as 26-year-old Hunter Squires, of Elmira, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment, is cooperating with the investigation, as are several witnesses.
