Owego man charged with grand larceny


OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) – An Owego man is accused of stealing.

On Monday, September 30, 2024, Tioga County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrew Gildea following an investigation into alleged thefts at a vacant home in the Town of Owego.

The 42-year-old is charged with felonies of grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property. Gildea additionally faces a charge of misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation, and violations of operating an unregistered motorcycle, operating with no insurance, and having an uninspected motorcycle.

Gildea was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.
