Register by Friday for upcoming village election in Lansing

LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) – Election Day is right around the corner in Lansing.

On April 28, residents will choose candidates to fill two trustee positions in this year’s village election.

The registration deadline is this Friday, April 17. All necessary paperwork must be turned in to the Tompkins County Board of Elections in Ithaca.

Beginning tomorrow, you can get ballot information at Vote411.org, a national, non-partisan resource brought to you by the League of Women Voters’ Education Fund. Information is also available at the Board of Elections website.

Polls will be open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28.

Last month, village elections were held in Cayuga Heights, Dryden, Freeville, Groton, and Trumansburg.
