RYOBI recalls over 750,000 electric pressure washers

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – RYOBI is recalling 764,000 pressure washers.

Officials say two models of the company’s electric-powered units have capacitors that can overheat and burst.

There have been 41 reports of explosions resulting in 32 injuries to the fingers, hands, face, and eyes.

The washers were sold in-store and online at Home Depot and Direct Tools Factory Outlets from July 2017 through June 2024.

Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and contact Ryboi to receive a free repair kit, including shipping and installation instructions.
