SPENCER, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities are renewing efforts in a 24-year-old cold case.

Michele Harris, of Spencer, was last seen on September 11, 2001. Despite lengthy investigations and four murder trials that ended in acquittals, Harris’ whereabouts remain unknown.

State Police say investigators will be conducting additional searches for evidence in the coming weeks.

“We will not stop seeking justice for Michele Harris and her loved ones,” said NYSP Troop C Bureau of Criminal Investigation Captain Lucas Anthony. “Our investigators are reviewing all available leads, and we continue to ask the public to share any information that may assist us.”

According to WENY-TV, the NYSP announcement comes just several months after Harris’ husband and children offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Harris’ remains.

Any information that has been provided to the family has not been shared with State Police.

Anyone with information relevant to Harris’ disappearance is asked to contact the State Police tip line at (607) 561-7400.
